Today is Easter Sunday and Robyn and I decided to head to Central Park.It was very cold to start with but once we got walking things warmed up. Here are some of the pics I took. It really is a beautiful place.

roos with a view

I saw this family of roos as I was leaving work yesterday.

Now, where did February go? And the first half of March? I'm now three days away from the annual trek to the US for AERA. This year the conference is in new York, NY. It is particular satisfying to be going as two years ago I decided (at my first AERA meeting in San Francisco)that i really wanted to attend the 2008 conference in New York. And now it is happening. This year I will be presenting a paper in the Early Childhood SIG. This will be another first and I'm looking forward to it. Again, I'll be sharing a room with my friend Robyn Brandenburg from Ballarat. Robyn and I have done it on the cheap previously but this year we will be staying at the Marriot on Times Square. That will be a treat.

Recent good news - I've had a journal article published in the latest issue of Contemporary Issues in Early Childhood. I still have another journal article out for review in an international journal that i REALLY want to be publishing in, so my fingers will be crossed about that.
